Rognidan & Vikrutividnyan forms the foundation of all clinical subjects in Ayurveda. It focuses on the understanding of diseases (Vyadhi Vidnyan), their pathogenesis (Samprapti), and clinical examination methods (Rugna Pariksha Vidhi).

The subject enables students to study signs and symptoms, diagnostic procedures, and interpretation of investigations along with prognosis (Sadhya-Asadhyatva) of diseases.
